Manchester United striker Robin van Persie enjoyed an extremely memorable first season at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League after failing to land the title in eight years at Arsenal. He won the Golden Boot as well, becoming the highest goal scorer for the team as they landed their 20th English league title in style last May but the goal scoring charts was not the only one he set on fire.

Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has stated that only Dutch striker Robin van Persie was a guaranteed starter in Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team squad last season. Following his sensational move from Arsenal to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, the Dutch international quickly announced himself as the pivotal point in Manchester United’s title winning side last season, scoring 30 goals in his debut season with the club.
And that left England international fearing for his future at the club with Fergie sometimes asking the former Everton man to play in midfield or on the wings. Rooney was also overlooked for the club’s crucial UEFA Champions League second leg match against Real Madrid with the industry of Danny Welbeck preferred to Rooney behind RvP.

After scoring in the 1-0 win over Sunderland in the weekend, Manchester United are almost close to securing the title according to striker Robin van Persie. As a result of this victory, United maintain their 15 point advantage at the top of the table with only seven matches remaining. Even though there is still the Manchester Derby between now and the end of the season, many feel that this 15 point advantage will be good enough to see the team through to the 20th Premier league title.

Robin Van Persie has said that he has always found Mario Balotelli a nice guy on and off the field.
Balotelli’s two and half years tenure at Manchester City was full of controversies. The Italian international has recently left City and has joined AC Milan.
The experts and former players often criticize Balotelli for his attitude, but, Persie doesn’t think that Balotelli needs to change his attitude.
Persie was talking to the reporters ahead of Holland’s match against Italy. When he was asked about Balotelli’s attitude, Persie said, “I don’t have any problem with his attitude. He is a nice guy. His behaviour with me has always been good both on and off the field. I know he has had a few controversies in the past, but, it doesn’t mean that he is not a nice guy.”

Robin Van Persie has said that Manchester United players shouldn’t underestimate Liverpool in the upcoming Premier League match. The Red Devils will take on Liverpool on Sunday at Old Trafford.
Van Persie has been in fantastic form in the ongoing season. This is his debut season for Manchester United and in his very first season, he has proved his worth. Sir Alex Ferguson had bought him from Arsenal after paying a huge transfer fee and Persie has stood up to the expectations of his manager. He has featured for United in 21 Premier League matches so far and has scored 16 goals. Persie’s efforts have put Manchester United at the top of the points table.
United currently has 52 points which is 7 more than Manchester City and 21 more than Liverpool.

Manchester United has defeated West Ham United in a Premier League match played at Old Trafford on Wednesday. United won the match by 1-0. This was United’s 11th victory in the League.
This victory helped United maintain its no. 1 status in the points table. United has won 11 out of the 14 matches that it has played in the League so far and it currently has 33 points. Manchester United is just one point ahead of Manchester City which is at the second position in the points table.

The Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that the star striker Wayne Rooney is once again back in shape and is ready to fire Manchester and a tour title. There have been a lot of questions asked about the ability of Wayne Rooney to sustain his hunger at the top level. It has been rumoured that the arrival of Robin van Persie will signal the departure of the England international from Old Trafford. Despite being the top scorer for Manchester United last season, Wayne Rooney has returned to the first few matches of the season in extremely bad shape.

Robin Van Persie, the captain of Arsenal, has said that he is not going to re-sign for Arsenal and he wants to leave the club. This statement of Van Persie has surprised a lot of Arsenal fans. Van Persie performed brilliantly for Arsenal in the previous season. He played in 48 matches and scored 37 goals for Arsenal. Out of his 37 goals, 30 were scored in the Premier League. Due to his brilliant performance, he was named as the player of the year.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has said that he is extremely happy that the club was able to finish in the third position in the Premier league table, which will guarantee them automatic entry into the Champions League group stages without having to go through yet another round of matches.
This means that Arsenal have secured the 15th consecutive season in the Champions League, thus becoming only the third club to achieve this feat. It also crucially made that they will be able to retain star striker Robin van Persie who has scored almost 40 goals this season.
