ROONEY COMEBACK IS ON

The Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that the star striker Wayne Rooney is once again back in shape and is ready to fire Manchester and a tour title. There have been a lot of questions asked about the ability of Wayne Rooney to sustain his hunger at the top level. It has been rumoured that the arrival of Robin van Persie will signal the departure of the England international from Old Trafford. Despite being the top scorer for Manchester United last season, Wayne Rooney has returned to the first few matches of the season in extremely bad shape.

This led to him being dropped by Sir Alex Ferguson on a number of occasions, but the manager has now confirmed that he is once again set to fire for Manchester United because he is back in shape. Wayne Rooney has had a month of absence from the first-team training due to the injury suffered in a match against Fulham. He has used this break to get himself back into shape according to the Manchester United manager. He is ready to pair Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie against Newcastle United this weekend after the two strikers sure that they can play which each other in the match against CFR Cluj.

“Rooney is fit, he has trained really well. The period he was injured, I think that was key to it. He maintained his fitness which is important because he is a stocky lad. He is very stocky, he is going to have to train well all the time, there is no doubt about that. I think Rooney will start scoring soon, once he gets a few games back. We know that, his track record tells you that each year he gets better with his finishing," said Alex Ferguson.
