Bookies named Palace one of the key contenders and the likelihood shot up with the appointment of Dutch manager Frank de Boer as the new manager.

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that striker Robin Van Persie felt a sea change with he joined Manchester United from Arsenal for around £ 24 million in 2012.

Former Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie could be on the move once again if reports are to be believed.


The striker used to play for Feyenoord before coming to English football with Arsenal. After spending a number of years with the gunners, the Dutchman made the move to Manchester United and it brought him the sole Premier League title of his career. However, his time at Old Trafford did not last long as Van Persie was on the move once again after signing for Fenerbahce. He has been with the Turkish club since 2015, but it has not been a productive spell so far.
