Arjen Robben urges Callum Hudson-Odoi to take up Bayern Munich challenge

Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has urged Callum Hudson-Odoi to take up the option of joining the Bavarian giants during the ongoing transfer window. The young Englishman has struggled to make himself a regular with Chelsea this term and this has recently spread speculation regarding his future with Bayern hot on the trail of his services.

Speaking to reporters, Robben classified the teenager as one of the best young players in Europe and stated that he should take up the opportunity with the German champions, he said: “He is one of the best [young players] in Europe. You are better off getting your chance [at Bayern] and if you get that chance then you have to take it. For young players, it’s always the same. First, you have to take the big step to achieve it. Become a professional football player at the highest level, get into the first team, get your place. Don’t just be happy when you achieve something little or small.”

“Bayern have already failed with three separate bids for the Blues graduate“ but reports indicate that they are prepared to make a fresh approach for the teenage sensation. The forthcoming offer has been rumoured to be around £35m and such a sum could get the Blues thinking, considering the youngster has shown no indication of “signing a new contract“.

Hudson-Odoi has just 18 months remaining on his existing deal with the west London giants but contract talks have been shelved for the moment with the teenager seemingly keen on the Bundesliga challenge. Meanwhile, Chelsea have managed to hold on to the fourth position for yet another game week and they have a six-point advantage over Arsenal after their London rivals suffered a shock away defeat at the hands of West Ham United. The Gunners are presently occupying the fifth position on only goal difference to Manchester United.
