VAN PERSIE INSISTS THAT VAN DE BEEK'S TIME WILL COME

Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek currently has a clean slate and will be having a fresh start and a chance to prove that he has what it takes to play for Manchester United when the English Premier League season kicks off in August.

Since signing from Ajax some months ago, the Netherlands international midfielder has lamented a lack of game time at Old Trafford and was even reported to have mentioned that he would like to leave the club this summer. However, those reports have been quashed and the feeling from the player's camp now is that he wants to fight for his place in the team starting from next season.

The former Ajax midfielder suffered a huge setback and was not called up to the Netherlands team that participated in the Euros tournament after picking up an injury in training. Missing the tournament was another huge blow to the midfielder as it added to the problem of a very little amount of game time he had in the previous season.

Robin van Persie, a former Netherlands international striker, who also played for Manchester United has now asked Van de Beek to be patient that his time will surely come at United. Van Persie said that it will be hard for any manager to have Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba in his team and still decide to start Van de Beek, which is the reason he has not been playing. Van Persie also warned that while the ex-Ajax star should be looking for an opportunity to impress, he should also endeavor to take the chance and make the most of it as much as he can.

Van Persie also added that Van de Beek is an excellent and a very talented player, but he needed some time to settle in England and expects to see him in action this season than in the last.
